You will find children's toys, books and videos as well as buckets and spades and lots of beach and picnic things. The flats also have a TV, Video player, audio tape player and DVD as well as a radio, so children will be entertained inside as well as they are outside. July and August is when it is serious holiday-time in La Mamola with lots of Spaniards from the big cities staying there. It is a well-respected resort.There is a lot more going on then and often different exhibitions and displays for the children along the beach, you have to look out for posters locally. Mid-August is Fiesta-time and there is also a fair there then as well, lots of parades etc, a great time for the children! Even though the village has many more visitors it is still a wonderful place and nothing like some of the other resorts along the coast, there is a night club, the other side of the main-road which opens very late and is open until the early hours in the holiday period. You would hardly know it was there unless you looked for it!

If you get tired of the lovely beach, then close by there is a family campsite that has a large public swimming pool which is open in July and August only, but the restaurant which is very good, is open all year. There is also a fabulous Aqua-park about 50 mins away at a place called Roquettas de Mar which is also open in the summer and there is a good shopping centre there as well which is open all-day, all-year which has lots of lovely clothes shops etc. Most of the big towns and cities near to La Mamola such as Motril, Adra,Granada have fabulous places to shop and lots of cafes where you can sit outside, etc. The flats have lots of tourist info in them of places to visit.
