The vast expanse of clean beach is the biggest attraction.
You can go fishing, take up surfing, go swimming and of course there are unspolit fabulous walking tracks.
The beach even has table tennis and separate playareas.
There is a very large supermarket at Motril that is open all day from 9.00/10.00 am until 10.00pm and there is a supermarket in Salobrena also open all day, which sells lots of English foods.
In La Mamola there is a supermarket about a 100yds away which has quite a good selection of things and it does sell fresh milk (which is rare in those parts!) however she doesn't have it everyday so it is advisable to get it from 'Alcampo' the big supermarket in Motril, or Salobrena, remember , in the heat things go off very quickly so there are cool bags in the flats.
Generally, shops are not open on Sunday in this area.
There is a petrol station at Castell de ferro(the nearest!) which does sell household and food basics.
There is a Doctor in La Mamola and Hospital in Motril and Granada. and a very good pharmacy in the village. YOU NEED TO BRING YOUR DICTIONARY AS FEW OF THE LOCALS SPEAK ENGLISH.
